@subutux I've found another article that is a very close process for my unpublished one using pacemaker and corosync for a two node DRBD cluster. Until I complete a second round of testing and finish the write up, try http://ninjix.blogspot.com/2011/01/highly-available-zabbix-monitoring.html

Hi subutux, the Heartbeat article is still a work in progress. From my readings so far, a number of people use corosync with pacemaker to handle the HA messaging and fail-over. Although not directly aimed at DRBD and MySQL, perhaps this article may help, http://www.rabbitmq.com/pacemaker.html
Cheers

@Leonidv
I had the same problem. You need to make node1 primary, otherwise you've got to secondary nodes. Just execute on node1 "drbdadm primary mysql" and try to mount. This should work.

@Mike McMurray
Any progress on the Heartbeat article/howto? Where can I find it?

Thx for this great tutorial!

Sorry Leonidv, I haven't seen this problem before. There are a couple of sites that think this might be due to LVM config. Not sure if this is your scenario.

Great tutorial. I'm currently testing it.
I don't know if I'm the only one getting this error, but after this step "Now move to the node1 server and create the same mount point, mount our DRBD device and we’ll see what’s inside." the terminal shows this -> "wrong medium type" when mounting /mnt/mysql on node1. I can successfully mount the file-system after making node1 primary by issuing this command -> "sudo drbdadm -- --overwrite-data-of-peer primary mysql"
